Viewbox Rx ("VBRx", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of healthcare professionals who use our mobile application and web app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Name, email address, and user ID (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In)

2. How Your Data is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device in a private database. We do not store your data on our servers.

If you choose to enable cloud backup, your data is backed up to your own Google Drive account in a folder called "VBRx Backup". VBRx can only access files it created — not your other Drive files.

We use Firebase Authentication solely for account management and sign-in.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the app's functionality
To authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In

4. What We Do NOT Do

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties
We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
We do not collect or use Advertising IDs (explicitly blocked)
We have no access to VBRx data on your device or your Google Drive — all data remains exclusively under your control

5. Third-Party Services

VBRx uses the following third-party services:

Google Sign-In — for authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
Apple Sign-In — for authentication on iOS (Apple Privacy Policy)
Google Drive API — for cloud backup to your own account
Firebase Authentication — for account management (Firebase Privacy)

6. Permissions

VBRx requests the following device permissions:

Camera — to capture photos and videos
Photo Library — to select and save images
Microphone — for video recording with audio
Notifications — for monthly reminders (dues, cheques, media)
Storage — to save media files locally

Permissions are requested only when needed.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device as long as you use the app. If you uninstall VBRx, all local data is permanently deleted. Cloud backups on your Google Drive remain under your control — you can delete them at any time from your Drive.

8. Data Security

Your local data is protected within the app. Cloud backups are securely transferred using Google's encryption.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of VBRx after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
